What’s Happening – November 3, 2014

I know that it has been a long time since I have written an article here instead of just using Facebook and Twitter to update what is going on, but I am excited about some of the things that have been happening here at House2Hope and wanted to list some of these things so that others can celebrate and pray with us as we see God moving in a powerful way!

  • We have seen an increased interest in House2Hope-Brookside from the community.
  • We had an incredible response to the Fall Festival that we hosted at the Brookside Apartments Community Center.  So thankful to everyone who helped with their time, talents, and contributions.
  • Sister Murphy from Tabernacle of the Word (in Birmingham) has been blessing the ministry and community with bread and other foods.  For those who have not met her yet, she is Shay’s mom!
  • I had the privilege to preach at Antioch Baptist Church in Graysville on October 19th.
  • I will be ministering at Pawnee Baptist Church (just off Carson Road) on November 23rd and December 28th.

We have also just finished a series on why we are a church and what makes us different focusing on our mission statement (To introduce people to Jesus Christ and help them have a lifelong relationship with Him) and our keywords (Family, Gathering, Mission, and Training).

I am praying that as we go forward, we will continue to find ways to be a blessing “in the temple” and from “house to house”.
